Pumpkin Time at the Arboretum

It's finally October, and our local Arboretum does a fantastic job of decorating in a festive fall style. They bring in pumpkins and gourds of all colors, sizes, and shapes, and place them in strategic piles all around the Arboretum.

This is an arrangement of pumpkins and gourds I found in the children's garden, Childhood's Gate. I liked the way that green long-necked gourd seemed to be sniffing the green pumpkin beside it. Things are getting pretty chummy in the pumpkin patch!  :-)

For my soundtrack, I wanted a song about piles of things, so here is a favorite: Tracy Chapman, with Mountains O' Things.
