No longer in normal use but a private residence and museum, the owner has done a superb job of capturing its history; let me explain . . .

Up the road is Sandringham House, a royal residence, the royal family and illustrious visitors such kings and queens, leaders, ambassadors would arrive here by train and be driven up the hill to be entertained and amused. On a sombre note King George VI died at Sandringham and a special royal funeral train conveyed the late King back to London in 1952
