Lindisfarne

What a happy day we had on Holy Island-this is a place where we are always pleased to be.  The thing of interest on this visit was the castle, which is now just about fully renovated and open to the public again.  The furniture has not been returned as the walls are still 'drying out' from  their recent stripping back and reapplication of washes.  It looked good as it was, maybe not needing the clutter returned.
We did our usual coastal walks and left refreshed by our experience.
