Not Scott's View

In view of the continued fair weather we drove down to Dryburgh for another walk by the Tweed along part of the St Cuthbert's Way.

Our route followed the river downstream as far as the Mertoun bridge, then back along the other side, this was taken about a third of the way, looking towards the Eildon Hills.

We stopped for our picnic lunch at the weir, where a lone fisherman was rowed across the fast-moving current  to wade into the shallows (see extra photo).

We were pleased to see a flock of some 20-odd Goosanders on the river, vying for attention with a Dipper and Swans.

Stopping on our way home at the real Scott's View we found the sun too close to the hills for photographs, although this did not stop the many visitors from the attempt!
