Commando Whisperers

A group of us were sitting around a circular table outside the book festival at Le Mans, when a group of men and women in black suddenly materialised around us raising umbrellas. Then, as they lowered them they produced long black tubes, one end of which they positioned at our ears. They then began whispering poetry, softly, intimately into the tubes. A very strange and compelling experience. Commando Whisperers they call themselves.
