Sailing into Hayfever

The Boss, when left to his own devices, is an adventurous bloke so today he decided to explore the Miramar peninsula bit of Wellington and of course being attached as I am I went too. Wellington has a great public transport system and the plan was to walk the area to the Massey Memorial https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Massey_Memorial
And come back along the road to the Chocolate Fish Cafe.
Yes we have one of those.
Well that didn’t work at all ‘Cos some petrolhead blokes were racing cars around the point and the road was closed so we beat a track back another way and had hot choc at the Roxy Theatre instead. There were 22000 staggers in this but it was a lovely day and we got to see bits of Wellington for the first time. The yellow stuff is Gorse and we can thank the early settlers for that (not) as by the time the Boss was close enough to make pictures his eyes were itching and he had to be strong enough not to rub them on the way back.
On the way down there was this funny grinding noise and he seemed to disappear for a bit but reappeared a little later behind himself. See the extra about that.
