The Diff Shines

Up early to volunteer at the Cardiff Half Marathon this morning.  It's a great event to be part, whether volunteering, running or shouting your support from the sidelines.  It creates a special atmosphere around the course and shines a big spotlight on the delights of Cardiff City.

It's amazing how the event goes from absolute calm to a surge of people entering a small part of the city centre.  25,000 runners and their family and friends make their way to the start and the event village.  It's a sight to see.

I loved it.

Sadly tonight though two runners have sadly passed away after collapsing after the finish line.  A tragic event and thoughts and prayers with the family and friends of the runners.
