A view from St Swithin

The Caringorms

A beautiful walk today on to Carn a' Mhaim a Munro that sits in the heart of the Cairngorms . I was walking with some old friends from school - which made for a more relaxing but longer walk ( timewise ) as there was much chatting and reminiscing . I've  been up here 3 times before but never on such a spectacular day . Our route took us from the Linn of Dee , up to Derry Lodge and then to the bridge over the Luibeg and onto the hill .
The blip is of some of the Munros on the south side of the Lairig Ghru - the Devils Point and Cairn Toul , whilst the extras include a view down Deeside from near the top , the cliffs on Ben Macdui and the Luibeg Burn, and a view of Derry Cairngorm at the end of the day .  . An 8 hour and 25K day and felt I'd earned my curry and beer at the end of the day. A good day for the soul .
