Broch hunting

After all the hard work over the weekend I found myself with more than a few aching muscles so decided to take advantage of the decent weather before the forecast rain hit and go for a short walk to loosen off.

Headed over to South Ronaldsay and wandered out to the Dam of Hoxa and the Howe of Hoxa broch. Didn’t have time to find my way up to the broch, don’t think there’s much left to see anyway, but it does sit in a commanding position on top of a very pointy hill.

Just realised that I’ve managed to post a pic that doesn’t show the pointyness of the hil!
