Nature versus Nature

Rain, gales, storms, and in some places superstorms - nature by way of weather has been pretty full-on at times this year. And yet against that here is this beautiful rose that's grown up and through the clematis which covers an arch. I've watched it develop over the last few weeks and am amazed that it's made it to this stage. It's like it was determined to have its day in the sun. It got that today even though it is a late autumn/ early winter sun.
