Mount Pond: Crisp Cayuga Colours

Prettier plumage in large.

I definitely took more dramatic photographs today, but I was pleased to get a more evocative photo revealing the play of light on the Cayuga's stunning feathers, so that's what made this my pick, in spite of the heron's exploits, cormorant activity (inc. waterski and treetop landings), and bright sunshine and clean water that brought the pond's surroundings alive with radiant colours and pristine reflections...
Also had more fun exploring multiple exposure shots: my favourites were plant shapes, heron take-off, moorhen motion, and Cayuga preening.

Others here (or right from Cayuga flapping)
