The Rietveld Chair

As sad as it sounds, I was so excited to see this in the Stedelijk Museum, Amsterdam. The Rietveld Chair is a design classic and I had studied it as part of my architectural history module last year when learning about the predominantly Dutch movement De Stijl (based on colour theory). This chair was based on a series of sketches of intersecting planes of colour and designed for The Schröder house, also by Rietveld.
