Cape Cod Forest

From our base in Orleans at the elbow of Cape Cod we drove north today (up the arm) to the Cape Cod National Seashore and the area around Provincetown (the fist :). The weather was gorgeous, after a cloudy early morning. We took leisurely walks in the Beech Forest; this is a view at the end of the afternoon. We encountered a pair of women who shared a small bag of sunflower seeds, which attracted northern cardinals, titmice, and nuthatches were around--and especially chickadees, who were the most daring.  The extra shows one on Marylee's hand.

Posted next morning.
