My Rose Lady

We've been toiling in the garden for most of this glorious day and I've got a few more things ticked off the 'Oct List' including layered bulb planting in pots, fingers crossed they come up as they should:  Crocus first, then daffs and finally the beautiful dark burgundy tulips all of which are covered at the moment with Violas and mini Cyclamen.

Rose Lady appreciated how hard we'd worked and agreed that a glass of vino in our little garden would be appropriate at the end of another glorious day whilst Mr T and I surveyed our labours of the day.

Two not so good things happened today:
1.  The washing machine died and
2.  The kettle died too. ..........  they are both elderly, very annoying  but worse things happen at sea.

Nice neighbours came to the rescue with a state of the art washing machine which had a frightening speed spin resulting me not really having to do too much drying and another neighbour bringing some wonderful beetroot and apples from his allotment. So fresh beetroot will appear on the menu tonight together with an apple and blackberry crumble, I'll save a portion for lovely neighbour #2.
