AUTUMNAL SUNSHINE AND THE SPOTLESS LADYBIRD

What a beautiful day it's been so we drove half an hour down the road to lovely Mount Grace Priory (extras) and spent a few hours just wandering through the ruins and the gardens being bombarded by ladybirds of all colours and spottedness (more extras), including some harlequins. The gardens still had lots of butterflies and a few dragonflies hoovering up the ladybirds and other beasties over the ponds and lakes, and a few flowers that were confused and thought it was spring all over again. And unlike our last visit on a hot summer bank holiday weekend, this time there were very few other visitors and no long queues in the café. It's a lovely place - those Carthusian monks knew what they were doing!
