Houdini the Hedgehog

In case you missed last night's update, here's a repeat:

The hedgehog has now been named Houdini. We have him in a plastic box which is approx. 10 inches deep, which is stood on top of the freezer which is 32 inches high.

The little bugger managed to escape, without hurting himself, and we found him in the garden again.

He has now been returned to captivity whilst we await the rescue centre.”

The rescue centre asked us to weigh him, 300 grams, and aid that he was underweight and would need some support and that it would be best if we could keep hold of him and feed him up.
So I went scrabbling around the garden to find some way of penning him in, which you can see in the picture.

I checked on him at 11 last night, and again at 6 this morning, and he was tucked up in the hedgehog house fast asleep.

Checked again at 3 this afternoon and he was awake again, but seemed to be having trouble walking, so it was into a box and off to the vet.

Physically he is OK, but, the vet things he may have some neurological injury probably caused by his swan dive off the freezer.

We've brought him home and he's back in his pen. It's just a matter of wait and see.
