Peace lily

I'm very fond of this Peace lily! Acquired it several years ago, and it lived on the window sill of the office in Berwick until the end of March when I brought home. Despite many a few periods of neglect when it's not been fed or watered as often as it should, it continues to thrive and, once again, is flowering.

A 'bitty' sort of day - did lots of little jobs around the house without seeming to achieve much. Took a lot longer than anticipated to remove the masking tape from the floor of the 'Music room'! Late in the afternoon MrM drove us down to Alnwick for fish & chips a meal at Carlo's, after which we bought a curtain rail and did a supermarket shop.

Some very bizarre weather this evening. It had been windy and reasonably mild all day, but we exited a shop to be hit by a blast of very warm air. At first we thought it must be something to do with the air conditioning/heating by the shop door, but it didn't take long to realise that the air temperature outside - just after 7.00pm - had gone up by several degrees, borne out by the car thermometer which registered 20degC! By the time we got back home, some 90 minutes later, it had gone down again to a much more normal 12.5degC...
