Halifax Town Hall

Halifax Town Hall was the last major commission of Sir Charles Barry (he rebuilt the Houses of Parlaiment amongst many other achievements).
The building was completed after Barry's death by his son Edward Middleton Barry.
There are a number of red umbrellas hanging along Princess Street, but I haven't been able to establish their significance.
