Walking the Dog - 21

Rained for most of the day and much colder.
Mr P feeling slightly better.
The three of us went to our local for Sunday lunch.
Then we drove to Ilkley for Windrush Women another event in the literature festival which ends today.
The two poets had us captivated and we moved between laughter and tears as they shared their work.
Afterwards we dropped Elaine off at the train station and we parked up and walked down to the Playhouse to watch our final event: a viewing of 84 Charing Cross Road, a film about a bookshop chosen to celebrate the town’s independent bookshop surviving 40 years of trading up against the likes of Amazon and E-books etc.
I’d read the book many years ago and it was good to catch the film.
As we left the viewing we were offered a piece of the celebratory cake that the famous Betty’s had made them.
We have just eaten it on our return home, yum.
Just watched Strictly and feel it was the right choice for who should leave but well done to
Katie Piper.
