Wet Walk

The reasonable weather forecast from a couple of days ago began to look a bit less optimistic over the last forty eight hours or so. We woke up to hammering rain and leaden skies and then thought , sod it we’ll go anyway.
Our friends B and J were quite keen to carry on. So we drove down to the last but two stage of the Cotswold way and walked from Hawkesbury Upton to Tormarton. Yes we got a bit wet . No it didn’t matter.
Loved these wet gravestones with yew berries scattered over them in Old Sodbury church yard. Then we had the best ham sandwich ever and a delicious pint of a beer called Bob from the Wickwar brewery.
Later on the post lunch stretch took us past the old mile stone in the extra. Only 10 miles to Bath! ? Unfortunately the footpath is a bit longer than that but we’re hoping to complete it fairly soon.
