Some of you will know about Brian and some of you won't, but since I'd had no reply to my last email I was concerned.  

His son J phoned me today to tell me that his Dad had died on Saturday, and we had quite a chat. Thankyou Brian for leaving J notes on what to do when he'd died, including telling me... because how else would I know. I'm also on the list of people to be invited to the funeral, so J will let me know the details as and when, and I'll just sneak in at the back. As J said, his death is a blessing, Brian was no longer who/how he used to be. 

Brian and I had our first meeting here, and we've we'd been seeing each other ever since, with the odd gap. We had some fun times :-)
