Red ships

5.5C cold and clear. Invigorating!

Our research earlier in the week on relatively local antiques centres had pointed us to 'Steptoe's Yard' just North of Montrose. More of a reclamation yard it seems but we thought we would take a trip to see it this morning. The roads were very frosty (and not gritted, tut tut Angus Council!) but it was a pleasant bright drive.

Steptoe's was a bit of a different experience from the rather nicer surroundings of Tuesday's antiques centres which were between Dundee and Perth. Still, we did have a bit of luck and found a small wooden cabinet which Apothecary7 has cleaned and polished to sit in the corner of the lounge to hold her art magazines and display one or two pottery items.

We stopped beside the harbour on the way back and shot some pictures of the ships. Nice bright red ones with some blue sky to show off the colours :-)

Lunch in Arbroath on the way home. Bonus in that the place we went for lunch has an old fashioned sweetie shop :-)

Later (as Apothecary7 polished her cabinet) I watched Scotland play rugby against Tonga at Pittodrie. Tonga were very well organised and played an honest physical game (they can be very physical!) and won well.
