Who needs diamonds?

Another grey, damp day though surprisingly mild. The morning was spent visiting someone who wants Alex to do some maintenance work in their garden and then going to the farm-shop to seek quinces. We were successful and now have enough to make a batch of quince gin and some membrillo!

The afternoon was a bit of a mish-mash of gardening, presentation writing and sending images off to one of Pete's clients, for inclusion in a report. While I was outside I noticed that the plume poppy was covered with tiny water droplets, making it look quite stunning. This natural beauty is so precious, and more valuable to me than jewelry, though I suspect it could be the inspiration for a rather lovely necklace...
