Tomato soup

A friend alerted me to a simple recipe for making home made tomato soup. Well it uses tomatos from cans, but otherwise everything else is home made. Within 15-20 minutes (we were in a rush) we had tomato soup, and I have to say it tasted great. You add bicarbonate of soda, and it froths up like lemonade for a bit - which appeals to the latent chemist in me.
