Beacon Fell View

A wander round a local beauty spot today.
Was shocked to see swathes of pines at the summit had been felled. (extra)
apparently they were getting large, old and dangerous and had to be controlled. It has totally destroyed the nature of the place and although there are promises to replace them with native broadleaf species I suspect I will not be around to see the summit recover its former attraction.
