After Top Chop....

I got called to the door, so I am late adding this comment....
The top of this tree was air layered 6 weeks ago.  I snipped the top off last weekend, and it is now sitting under the misters at the nursery.  You can actually see the wound in the center that I have put sealer on to prevent rot.
       What is photographed is a much smaller tree, that I will now grow a new top, or apex (as us bonsai lovers like to call it.)   I will let this tree rest through the winter and sprout out whatever it wants to.  I will choose something in the spring that I will develop.   
And the growing goes on............        never a quiet moment for the scissors!
