Rabbits?!

Today after our late night we decided to relax in the garden of the hotel.  By the late afternoon we had the urge to buy some fruit and a paper so drove into Castellina and parked opposite the little Co-op which fortunately was now open.  Next door were this little group of large rabbits on the pavement and in the road.  There were three of them, very well behaved, mostly lying by or in their basket.  The one in the road was toying with the dead leaves looking for something to eat although they had been given some carrots. A
small brass dish for collecting money was evident.  Cars use this road but I don't think the rabbits stray far off the pavement.

We found some fruit in the supermarket, it was an interesting change
seeing Italian products on the shelves, most of them similar to ours.  Their meat counter, as in other European countries, had a large display of all
sorts of salami and cuts of meat we do not often see in the UK.  Then we went next door into a stationery shop to look for a paper.  There was only a
New York Times.  The owner mentioned Brexit.  He told us that although  all the advantages of the Common Market didn't filter down to every man in the street he was glad to be a part of it and they certainly didn't want Britain to leave.
