Life through the lens...

Spanish Dagger

The common name for Yucca, Gloriosa Variegata.
My sister says this is a perfect name as she has stabbed herself and drawn blood several times on the spiky leaves.

She has been waiting 6 years for this plant to flower. Well worth the wait.
It was late coming into bud, but with the warm sunny weather we have had over the last few weeks, it has finally made it. She is chuffed to bits.
So had to be my blip for Flower Friday.
Hopefully it will now flower every year.
A closeup of the flowers in extras.

Another beautiful sunny day, although doesn’t feel as warm as yesterday.
That lovely golden late afternoon sunlight.

Hope you all have a good weekend, and this weather lasts.
