Brijuni

We went exploring today, at Brijuni Island.

We hired a car to drive most of the way, then we got a boat across. On the island we had lunch, took a (road) train tour, went round a safari park including zebras and a huge elephant, looked at an exhibition of taxidermy and photos of ye olde Yugoslavia, played hide and seek, visited Roman ruins, and hired a Segway (MrsCyclops) and a bike with child-trailer (the other two) for a final hour. If was a sunny day and a beautiful island. 

Back to our hotel with time for a swim before dinner and mini disco.
