Thruscross Reservoir

Friday 19th October 2018

After packing up and cleaning the house Liz and I went our separate ways. I travelled to Mum's in Leeds, where my aunt is also staying this weekend.

Mum asked to go and see some "autumn colours" so I decided to take them for a drive round the reservoirs - Swinsty, Fewston then Thruscross. We were amazed at how low the water was. On the way, and at the reservoir, we saw a lot of buzzards and their colours sparkled in the sun, a wonderful sight - see extra (two photos in one). The colours on the trees and on the moor were glorious in the sun as well.

We stopped at a garden centre in Otley for a cup of tea on the way home and then spent the evening playing the statutory games of cards.

Another lovely day of holiday.
