Any guesses?

Bit of a dull day. A bit of shopping this morning and then Mr M and I went to The Pillars of Hercules for some cake and a short walk. Found this on our walk and we couldn't agree on what sort of animal it was meant to be. Finally settled on water buffalo. What do you think?
