Tower of Alcalá

Peñon de la Alcalá is a striking rocky peak. The original tower was a strategic point to look out over the valley and to defend easily. Today only the lower half of the circular castle is still visible.

It is one of the most photographed spots of the village Guadalest in Spain.

Only about 25 kilometers from Benidorm lies the former Guadalest fortress on top of a mountain. The town with the 'hanging castle' is a tourist attraction and was declared a monument in 1974.
