Getting the sparkle back

Leaves above the Leader

Today J and I did a walk of about four miles which took us nearly four hours! Actually, that's the kind of walk I like best, where you can take the time to look at things - and take the odd photo, of course. It was a walk with a lot of steps, going from Leaderfoot to the foot bridge at Cowdenknowes and crossing the river there, returning on the other side. I felt we had done a good walk by the end. The autumn colours were looking good, and it was also notable for seeing a red squirrel, the first for each of us in the Borders.
