Mystery Visitor

In the Reception classes (we have 3) where I work we have what we call a 'hook' to get the children engaged in the book or topic we are covering for the week today we were left a loaf of bread, a jar of jam, some red feathers and a letter. Have you guessed which book we are reading?
Yes, that's right it is 'The Little Red Hen' the letter told the children that she had left them the bread and jam because she thought they were nice and helpful as some of her friends wouldn't help her bake her bread and she hoped they would enjoy them. So it was jam sandwiches as a treat at snack time. The children loved it.
