Lastingham to Hutton-le-Hole

Today was glorious so we had a sandwich overlooking the Moors then parked at Lastingham which has an ancient history with a church dating back to pre- Norman times . I’d always wanted to view it and it didn’t disappoint - the Crypt - 8th century was stunnming with a curved alter and the remains of Celtic stones .http://lastinghamparishchurch.org.uk/about-us/history/
The walk was beautifully varied with Moorland and spruce trees in full Autumn array .
Highly recommend the pub in Lastingham which we returned to later for our meal - the old settle is still there complete with welcoming fire .
