Shrines play an important role in the daily Thai culture. Every time, someone walks past a shrine or a spirit house, he/she acknowledge with a respectful wai .
This particular shrine is dedicated to Ganeesha. So it is no wonder that younger people would be there as he is the protector of Arts and studies.
