Barrier open

I was very doubtful last night that I'd want to drive across the Barriers today, but fortunately the wind died down a tad and it was fine, so long as you kept a wave eye out. This was coming home 6 hours later after the wind had abated a lot more.

I didn't want to miss a great opportunity to learn how to do applique properly and I wasn't disappointed. A lovely day spent having (yet) another go at a technique that I gave up on a while back for various reasons.

Now an evening to finish my little bit of work off and do more Bake Offing. Wonder if Raoul ups his game ...
