Life in Newburgh on Ythan

Grey geese

Whilst we were away the wild grey geese were flooding in from their breeding grounds in Iceland. There are large flocks feasting in the stubble fields and long skeins overhead late in the day when they head off to their roosting sites.

The extra shows a trio of greylags flying across the sea towards the wind turbines in the distance. The turbines lie offshore from The Donald's golf course at the Menie Links. He hates them with a vengeance and fought hard in every court in the land to stop them being built; I think of them as Trump Towers! My cup runneth over whenever I look at them.
