My Dad . . .

that's the name of this rose breed by Matthew's Roses in Wanganui.  I planted it below the deck and can now look down on it and take a birds eye view photo.  The forester was aghast at the cost of the  four roses I ordered earlier this year.  Baby pine trees cost only cents.  I think he is very pleased with them now.
We are flying to Wellington this afternoon to stay with our son and then on to see our friend.  The last time we visited in July he had just started radiotherapy for brain cancer.  No miracles but he is still at home and living each day.  Time for me to be brave.
I am not taking my laptop and will back blip when I get home on Sunday.  I will keep up with you lovely blippers using my phone.
