Memory

In the midst of one of many meetings today I said with conviction that person x had told me something, assuring the others it was definitely x, only to realise later it was actually person y who’d said it. That’s the second time that’s happened, and is very disconcerting...how could I have remembered the message and so confused the messenger? Hmm....
Anyway, busy day as ever then a lecture by Philippe Sands in the evening talking memory, family, human rights and international law, based on his book East West St. followed by convivial dinner and an interesting chat with my neighbours at the table....
