The back garden

There isn't a front garden for the apartment building, as the building opens directly onto the street. It is on a corner, and the side of the building has a border of green grass between the path and the road. One of our neighbours has made it her mission to maintain that bit of council owned land with perfect lawn. After a large truck ripped up some of it she got it regrassed, and nurtured it back to its perfection.

She also cares for these plants. The original planting from 15 years ago had become tired and some plants had died. A previous owner/resident had a landscape business, and was able to provide the larger plants at a low cost. We now have an attractive and rather lush border between us and the neighbouring house, the top of which is shown.
