Surprise

This anemone suddenly appeared in one of my flower pots! It was a winter planting with anemones, ivy and bulbs, and had been languishing in the garden all summer. It was a pleasant surprise when the anemone appeared, let's hope the bulbs show up later.
I edited Talking Newspaper this morning. This involves two of us going through the local paper selecting articles we think would be of interest to our listeners. This is getting more and more difficult. The paper is not as "local" as it used to be, having become part of a large publishing group, and much of the news comes from towns and villages far away. We did our best, and I think we gathered enough material to make a reasonable edition, but it is very frustrating. I shall be reading it tonight, one of a team of three, the editors rota and the readers rota have collided!
