Very Scraggy Blackbird!

Surely not a juvenile this late in the year, is it? It's the only explanation I can think of unless it has a close shave (excuse the pun) with a cat!
I think it probably was a youngster as it sat quite still, on top of a fence, while I switched the camera on, zoomed a little and took the photo. They aren't usually that patient with me!

The extra is a rather smarter looking Squirrel. Both spotted while out with Jonty at lunchtime.
