Lion's Mane Sea Slug

My new favorite sea creature! It moves like a jellyfish, but looks like a shmoo, or a moose, or a donkey. Maybe a rooster from a certain angle. Dozens of them floating in outer space, opening, closing. I synchronize my breath with their pulsing. Check out the Extra to see a different aspect.


Monterey Bay Aquarium. My first major outing since the vertigo started. All that motion and strange lighting had varied effects on me. There were some exhibits, particularly those with curved glass, that I couldn't deal with at all. I loved being out and seeing all the wonderful creatures, and I am very glad to be home and quiet.
