M took me for a superb birthday lunch at a very windy and cold Royal William Yard. Just as we were leaving a French warship was making its way to Devonport Dockyard but  only presented a stern shot. Contrast the almost deserted waterfront to that of Kingsbridge only a couple of days ago but 10C warmer
