Vanuatu mask

I've been on a practical lighting course all day, but although I learnt a lot, I didn't like any of the photos I ended up with. So this mask hanging on our living room wall became my subject for today. I've been thinking about interesting distortions I might make from it, but the straight shot will have to do for now. Lighting was even, boring would be our tutor's assessment, but I think it works here where there is so much detail and colour.
