Big and hairy!

Perusing the ivy at the local cemetery i came across 3 of these spectacular Tachinid flies.
This is Tachinia fera, a large and bristly fly whose larva are parasites of large moth larvae.
It is common in England and Wales, and can often be found sitting on leaves sunning itself.
