Tranquil village

The village Dad lives in, is quiet at least when the traffic from the A14 is not diverted through it's streets. The A14 just a mile away is undergoing a major widening/ upgrade to take heavy local traffic and traffic from A1 to M11 and A14. The work which began in 2016 is scheduled to complete late 2020. It involves rebuilding many heavily used bridges and there have been many overnight and even weekend closures. When completed it will be fast and efficient but for the moment we must be patient.
