Mono Monday : Spooky

When the shop that used to be a pop-up Christmas shop moved out, they took everything with them except this silver panther, just inside the door.
There are several shops in the town centre that sell this type of ornament. They stay on display for years, so I’m guessing they’re not very popular.
This one looks particularly scary, so I wonder fancifully whether it was left deliberately, to frighten off evil spirits.
It certainly frightens me off, maybe because I’m old enough to remember when the shop used to be Freeman Hardy and Willis.
On a more cheerful note, the cosmos in the park is still worth seeing ( extra ).
