Turks turban

The Turks Turban is a type of squash, a cultivar of Curcurbuta maxima.


One website proclaims ...known in the nineteenth century as "the most beautiful in colour, and the most worthless in quality, of all the varieties of squash; selective breeding since then may have improved the flavour"

I bought it for the colour, but will soon cook it.
I think the best way forward is to slice off the top layer, scoop out the seeds and stuff it with something tasty involving chilli.
